Mountain Transitions by Jim Connor

Dwarf buckwheat grows in dry, alkaline cinders in the Craters of the Moon National Monument. The leaves are light in color and resemble flower petals from a distance. Thousands may grow in a small area of cinders spaced out to give an impression of human order.
