Vikings fit four into a week
The Challis Vikings basketball team spent most of their time on the court last week, either at home or away.
The varsity boys tucked two wins under their belt while the JV team ran the board.
They kicked off the week on Monday with a trip to Rockland where the varsity team couldn’t quite prevail, while the JV team came out on top. They had another match against Rockland on Friday when again the JV team thumped the Bulldogs handily. In one of those games the boys outscored Rockland by 30 points, and Garrett Millick scored 34 points and made nine 3-pointers.
On Wednesday, the Vikings took on the Butte Pirates and won handily, 57-48.
In Saturday’s game against Mackay both the varsity and JV teams won.
Districts start this week with the first game against Grace and a second on Saturday in Challis.
