Pickled peppers… These are mild peppers, although they resemble robust jalapeños. The flesh is firm and crunchy when pickled in a sweet and sour brine. The deficiency of heat is partially compensated for by addition of halved small but fiery hot chili peppers — one can be seen at the top of the jar.

Taking a plunge — The dunking booth was a new and popular attraction at the Custer County Fair two weeks ago.
