A hoppin’, happenin’ time

Children have had the most fun at the twice-monthly Thursday evening dances Travis Hardy and his band have recently hosted at the Challis American Legion Hall. Hardy remembers the hall used to be a hopping, happening place all the time and wanted to bring back some of the fun and help the Legionnaires raise funds. Poor attendance has resulted in the dances being canceled, for now at least, Hardy said. In this photo, Braden Harwood, 6, prepares to jump into the arms of Jaylei Waite, 12, in turquoise, and his sister Montana Harwood, 10, in pink. Jaylei is the daughter of Jeremy and Kaite Waite, while Braden and Montana are the children of Curtis Harwood and Jennifer Miller.
