Chondo promotes two to black belt

Thursday, February 9, Chondo Martial Arts Academy held a black belt testing and promotional. Mr. Blain Aldous, 3rd-degree black belt; Master Shelbie Bryant, 5th-degree black belt; and Chief Master Bj Bryant, 7th-degree black belt conducted the testing. Students demonstrated traditional and applied techniques and knowledge of martial philosophy. Congratulations to the students on these milestones. The determination required to achieve black belt is the same as that required to achieve each level thereafter, making this a special achievement. Pictured from left to right: Jahndra Gilbert was promoted to 3rd-degree black belt, and Jisana Gilbert was promoted to 2nd-degree black belt.

Big hearts donate to Heart of Idaho Animal Sancturary

Children had fun playing in one of the dog kennels that will be installed in the new Heart of Idaho Animal Sanctuary, which hopefully will be open to house animals sometime this year.
