What a coach

Maria (Rosie) Reyes was honored as the sole senior member of the Challis Vikings Cross-country Team on senior night in October. She wrote the following about Coach Paul Lind, pictured with her above: “Just because I don’t know who else’s coach shows up to senior night covered in blood because he shot his elk at 4:01 p.m and ran downhill in his hunting boots for an hour, while sending his lone and behold senior a video of him doing such, promising he would be there at promptly 6:00 p.m., just to be there for less than 10 minutes, and head back up to the hills. Thanks for everything Paul, you’re the best coach and best friend someone could have. One more race.” Rosie’s and fellow Viking team members’ last race was at the State Championship Meet October 29 in Pocatello.
