Chondo students fare well at tourney

Students from Challis Chondo Martial Arts Academy traveled to Twin Falls Saturday, Sept. 23, to compete in the Intermountain Martial Arts Alliance National Tournament. Students competed in forms, sparring and board breaking. Tae kwon do competition centers on respect and good sportsmanship, and the Challis students excelled. Pictured from left to right, Ray placed third in forms, third in sparring and first in board breaking; John placed third in forms, third in sparring and first in board breaking; Evan placed third in forms and third in board breaking; Emily placed third in forms, third in sparring and third in board breaking; Emma placed first in forms; Claire placed second in forms, third in sparring and second in board breaking; and Bella placed third in forms, second in sparring and first in board breaking. Seniors raise $4K at auction, dinner
