Robinson Bar Road slumps, SNRA closes ranch access

This section of Robinson Bar Road sloughed into the Salmon River late last week, making the one-lane road even narrower on this unstable section, seen from Highway 75. The road tread is only 9.5 feet wide now. Carole King and her ranch caretakers have vehicles parked on each side for ranch ingress and egress. The public Upper O’Brien and Lower O’Brien campgrounds are not affected.

A short section of Robinson Bar Road close to Carole King’s ranch of the same name sloughed into the Salmon River last week, leaving a 9½-foot-wide, unstable road tread.
