The Clayton Fourth of July celebration comes together every year with a group of volunteers at the helm. Some of this year’s volunteers included, front, Susie Nicol and Ruth Brunker. Circling in the back are Nancy Gasser, Dorothy Judd Dupius, Marcus Wright, Sarah Baker, Jill Berry, Michelle Wright, Clyel Berry, Terry Bryant, Jason Hurless and Paul Dupius. Volunteers prepare and cook the meat for the barbecue, prepare the park for the festivities, plan entertainment, organize the parade, arrange for all the side dishes served at the barbecue and clean up afterwards.
