Returning since its hiatus due to COVID-19, the East Idaho Home and Garden Show will host over 120 vendors to help residents with various projects or shine a light on small businesses.
The event will be held at the Mountain America Center Friday and Saturday. On Friday, it will run from noon to 3 p.m., and on Saturday, it will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Adults older than 62 will only enter for free on Friday, and children under 12 will enter for free.
Tickets are available on the Mountain America Center website, Frontier Credit Union in Idaho Falls, Ammon and Shelley, and at the door. Tickets cost $5 each.
CEO and Founder of Good Co. Broker Club Tyler Kraupp said his company took over the event because he wanted to create an opportunity to bring the community together. He said his company focuses on helping people purchase their first homes or invest in properties to get their brand out there.
“We’re hoping this show is kind of a new community spring show that is revitalized ... (and) continue the tradition that the show has had here in the community, and put our own spin on it,” Kraupp said.
The event will feature vendors in landscaping, real estate agents, painting and other categories that help homeowners with projects or services. Kraupp said his goal is to support these small business owners.
“This is a great opportunity to talk about entrepreneurship and the grind that a lot of these business owners go through to build their service-based businesses, giving them that platform to have engaged customers, engaged Idaho and regional residents who want to support local and buy local,” Kraupp said.
Kraupp said over 2,000 tickets have been sold with free tickets given to local military groups and volunteers. He anticipates a goal for the two days is to have 8,000 attendees to pass through the event.
“In years past, the show averaged about 5,000 attendees for the two days. So we’re hoping that by bringing it back and having this be the first year that it’s returned, plus all the improvements we’ve made, we hope to shatter those records,” Kraupp said.
